Collinswood International Parade

Collinswood Language Academy will be hosting its annual International and Culture Parade. This wonderful tradition celebrates the rich diversity of our school community and provides a fantastic opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to come together and share their unique cultures and identities.

The parade will take place on the bus lot, and we encourage everyone to dress in clothing that represents their country of origin or any culture they wish to celebrate. Whether it’s traditional attire or something that reflects a different heritage, we welcome it all!

Please use the sign-up link provided for students and teachers interested in participating in the parade. Please ensure that clothing worn during the parade is respectful and honors the culture it represents.

All family members and guests who want to attend the parade must sign up as CMS volunteers to avoid long waits in line!

Key Logistics:

  • Parking & Check-in: Parents are invited to park in the main school lot and check in near the gym starting at 12:15 PM.

  • Photo ID: A photo ID will be required for all visitors at check-in.

  • Volunteer Check-in: Approved CMS Volunteers should check in at the Volunteer table.

  • Visitor Check-in: All other visitors must sign in using Lobby Guard.

  • Child Sign-out: Parents will be able to sign out their child with the homeroom teacher when they sign in.

  • Post-Parade: All students will return to their homerooms to gather their belongings and then proceed directly to the media center for pick-up.

  • Pick-up Location: Parents will pick up their child from the front office after the parade and are asked to join the pick-up line at the main office or depart campus upon closing remarks from Mrs. Modine.

  • Viewing Areas: We encourage parents to bring a lawn chair or towel to sit at one of our two family viewing areas on the bus lot.

  • Non-Participating Students: All students who are not participating in the parade are asked to dress in uniform and bring a towel to sit on during the parade. No chairs will be allowed for students.

We look forward to celebrating the diversity and culture of our school community with you all!
