So…What Is Ham Jams?

Overview
Glad you asked. Ham Jams is an evening of sing-alongs to shortened mash ups of different songs from the hit musical Hamilton.

Featured guests include:

  • Miguel Cervantes, Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton Chicago production 2016-2020 and Hamilton on Broadway from 2020-2024
  • Mike Moise, Conductor and Pianist, Hamilton Pit Orchestra
  • Collinswood Students to join for a special musical performance with Miguel and Mike

In between songs, Collinswood Parent Michael Yeary will interview Miguel and Mike about their experiences on Broadway and invite the crowd to interact in a live Q&A.

Current Collinswood students will also join for a special musical performance and we will auction off a pair of tickets, including a backstage experience, to the Broadway production of Hamilton.

Dress Code

  • Business Casual? Awesome.
  • Suit & Tie? Sweet.
  • Jeans, Air Jordan’s, funky socks? You do you.
  • High fashion because you haven’t had an excuse to get dressed up lately? Bring it on.
  • Shorts and sandals because NC can be hot in September? Vamos.

Collinswood Language Academy

Collinswood Language Academy was founded in 1995 and is an CMS magnet school enrolling students in grade K-8 with Spanish-immersion instruction. All support from Ham Jams will be directed to supporting international education and international teachers through Collinswood’s PTA, a 100% volunteer run 501(c)3.

Questions on additional opportunities for impact can be directed to Robert Koch, Collinswood Parent and Fundraising Chair.

Additionally, we will auction off a pair of tickets, including a backstage experience to the Broadway production of Hamilton to benefit Collinswood Language Academy.
